How can I remove a fraud alert or active duty alert?

To remove your fraud alert or active duty alert prior to expiration, please call (888) 836-6351, from 8 a.m. to midnight ET, 7 days a week.

You can also remove your fraud alert by sending a request in writing to:

For your protection, you'll need to provide copies of certain documents to verify your identity. Please refer to Acceptable Forms of Identification for Verification to learn more.
 
Once we receive your documents and verify your identity, we will remove your fraud alert and notify you by mail.

Please note that if you remove your fraud alert or active duty alert on your Equifax credit report, you will need to contact Experian and TransUnion separately to remove your fraud alert or active duty alert.
