Our talented employees drive our Only Equifax capabilities and long-term sustainable growth. We believe that increasing diversity and inclusion leads to higher levels of innovation for our customers and consumers, strong engagement levels and ultimately better business outcomes.
At Equifax we help people live their financial best. It’s why we were founded in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1899 by brothers Cator and Guy Woolford who built a business that empowered everyday people by giving them access to credit. They also helped make life better in underserved communities through the support of health benefits, job placement, and training. Today, we’re a global data, analytics and technology company that continues to help people live their financial best. And behind it all are our people. Our Chief Talent and Diversity Officer and leadership team are committed to an inclusive One Equifax, where everyone can bring their whole self to work.
We foster a culture of inclusion by living our shared values to ensure all employees feel they belong, have a voice, are respected, and are inspired to realize their greatest potential.
We maintain diverse representation by celebrating a holistic vision of employees through attracting, inspiring, and retaining talent with different backgrounds and perspectives.
We integrate I&D in our infrastructure through equitable and inclusive policies, processes, and training that reinforce the value of diversity for employees and the company.
We lead mutually beneficial partnerships and alliances to educate, drive social impact, create shared value, and enable sustainable communities where we live and work.
We are committed to an ongoing journey to have the best and most diverse talent who provide industry-leading innovation and services to our customers and consumers around the globe.
We strive for our employee base to reflect the communities where we live and work. Our rigorous hiring process requires that a diverse slate of qualified candidates be interviewed for all professional roles globally. We pride ourselves on attracting, developing, and promoting highly-qualified candidates who enhance our culture and bring diverse perspectives that deliver on our business strategy. We continue to make visible, positive strides in promoting and progressing diverse talent within our global teams.
Through this dedicated focus, we've improved representation of both women and employees of diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds. We are approaching nearly half of our global employee population being women, and more than four in ten of our U.S. workforce identifies with various diverse racial and ethnic groups. 38% of our CEO’s extended leadership team are women and 46% identify as racially or ethnically diverse.
We aspire to cultivate a workplace where everyone feels included, heard, and safe in expressing their thoughts. Our leadership works hard to provide strong policies that clearly communicate our position against racism and inequality in all forms. Supplementing these policies, our Senior Leadership Team has signed a joint statement of solidarity to drive positive change. To help uphold these policies, our leaders through two levels below our CEO attend workshops each year to help them identify and address bias, lead sensitive conversations with empathy, and learn new behaviors that cultivate an increasingly inclusive culture
“We believe inclusion is a deliberate leadership practice that must be cultivated throughout your career. When it’s realized, it’s a powerful force that engages our employees, business, and communities and helps them grow and move forward.”

Our Employee Networks
Our multiple employee networks serve as valued partners in amplifying and shaping our inclusive culture and are instrumental in our journey to attract, engage and retain diverse talent. Equifax is proud to have a number of established employee networks which include thousands of participants and allies around the world.
Our networks focus on creating connectedness, amplifying awareness, and on driving employee growth and development. These teams sponsor a variety of volunteer activities, speaker events with leadership and Equifax board members, and career development opportunities that help our employees grow and thrive. Members of our networks lead and support our university relations activities including our efforts with Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs), and sponsor philanthropic events as we give back our time and treasure within our communities.
