Patents protect innovations that create products and solutions to empower our customers to bring greater access to financial opportunity to more people in more places. As of April 1, 2024, Equifax has more than 530 issued or pending patents across the globe, which includes approximately 90 approved patents supporting our approach to AI.

The Equifax Patent Wall visually represents decades of hard work showcasing more than 200 patents issued over the years.

The Equifax event is hosted by several groups including Women Advancing Technology Together (WATT), a part of the Equifax Global Women’s Network, the Insights & Innovation Community, an Equifax community focused on increasing diversity in innovation, and the Sustainability Network, an Equifax community that seeks to integrate sustainability into the Equifax culture.

Women Inventor of the Year Award

As part of its commitment to The Diversity Pledge, the Insights & Innovation Community and WATT have partnered to create the Woman Inventor of the Year Award. The award helps elevate the efforts of women inventors at Equifax to build awareness and encourage women’s participation in innovation and patenting at Equifax. The award recognizes an inventor or group of inventors on a pending and/or granted patent for an invention aligned with Equifax strategic priorities and values.
