Grantmaking Guidelines

Empowering nonprofits to help more people in Atlanta and St. Louis live their financial best.

Our Focus

The Equifax Foundation makes grants to programs located in the communities where the majority of our U.S. employees live and work. Many of these programs focus on driving greater financial inclusion – helping to ensure that individuals and businesses have access to affordable mainstream financial products and services. Other programs that we fund offer initiatives that are designed to help build financial capability, including growing people’s knowledge about their personal finances, helping them develop the skills to act on that knowledge, and empowering them with the means to access and utilize appropriate financial tools.

What We Fund

Funding consideration is for organizations and programs with a clear alignment on the Equifax Purpose: helping people live their financial best. The Foundation supports non-profit organizations that support people in Atlanta, GA or St. Louis, MO, particularly those in low-to-moderate income communities. We may give additional preference to organizations where our associates can participate through volunteerism and have hands-on involvement in the work being done.

Examples of community organizations and programs that the Equifax Foundation has supported include, but are not limited to:

  • Community credit coaching services and clinics
  • Tailored financial education programs for children and young adults
  • Homebuyer Education designed to educate potential buyers about the steps involved buying a home
