May 2025 Key Insights: Today’s Consumer Credit Trends
As of January 2025, consumer originations have increased in
every category except cards.¹
Consumer debt has increased for most categories in the
overall market, but decreased with FinTech lenders for total
consumer and non-revolving debt.²
Utilization increased overall in all categories but
bankcard, while credit limits have increased for total
market.²
Delinquencies on many products in total market and FinTech
have improved, however some areas, including total market auto and
mortgage, are still increasing.²
