Will I need to contact lenders and creditors if I've been impacted by a natural disaster?

Yes, contact your lenders and service providers as soon as you can. These include banks, mortgage lenders, credit card companies, utilities. Let them know about any lost or stolen credit, debit, or ATM cards.

Explain your financial situation to your lenders and creditors. Some may offer hardship programs during emergencies. These include things like forbearance, payment deferral or modified payments.
