Features

Equifax has dedicated a Data Intrusion Response Team to help clients prepare for a data breach from a business continuity plan perspective or respond as needed when the event is discovered.

Every member of this team has over three years of experience working with clients to qualify their needs and offer any number of services beyond simple product fulfillment and customer service. These services include (1) refreshing their customer or employee, including retirees, mailing addresses; assistance in creating the consumer communication, printing and mailing the consumer notification letters and answering consumers questions regarding the data breach event from a call center(staffing a Tier 1 Hotline function.)   Equifax is able to offer outsourced capabilities in all these areas.

Equifax is also able to offer alternative billing options based on the clients’ risk tolerance.   We can price the product fulfillment support based on a fixed price to avoid any unknown costs, at the same time we can offer usage pricing which means the client only pays for those consumers who actually enroll.

Last, as one of America’s major credit reporting agencies, Equifax’s data ownership enables the client to offer several unique features/capabilities:

  1. When enrolling a consumer or employee we are not asking the consumer for their personal identifiable information (PII,) we are simply authenticating it against the data we already have, consequently, the consumer is not providing their PII to any other company when enrolling in the Equifax product.
  2. The Equifax Customer Care agents can look at the consumer’s actual credit file and answer questions in real-time;
  3. We can initiate disputes on their behalf; and
  4. We can place a Fraud Alert on the customer’s credit file.
