How can I change my email address?

I forgot my login information, what do I do?

If you forget your username and/or password, click on "Forgotten Username or Password?". After supplying your identifying information and the answer to your secret question, you will be able to reset your password. Your new password will be emailed to the address listed in your Equifax Member Profile.

I entered an incorrect password, and now I'm locked out. What can I do?

Please visit our Online Account Assistance section to reset your password.

How is my password assigned?

You create your own password at the time of the original application. Your password is a minimum of 6 characters and must consist of both numbers and letters only.

How soon after changing my password will it be available to me?

Your password is available immediately after you change it.

How often can I change my password?

You can change your password as often as you like; however, we recommend doing so only infrequently so that you do not forget the password you selected.

How do I change my secret question?

You can change your secret question by clicking on the "My Profile" link in the Member Center. Click here to go to the Equifax Member Center to update your profile.

How long does it take to update my email address?

The update is instantaneous.

How is my username assigned?

You select your own username at the time of the original application. Your username is a minimum of six characters and must contain both alpha and numeric characters.

When will my username be available?

Your username will be available as soon as you complete your initial purchase, as long as the username you request is not already in use. If you change your username, your new username is also available immediately, as long as the new username selected is not already in use.

How often can I change my username?

You can change your username as often as you like; however we recommend doing so only if you believe someone has discovered your old username and password or if it will help you to remember your username.

How is the username used?

The username is used, in conjunction with the password, for secure access to your Equifax account to view the products and services that you have purchased.

How do I use my password?

You can change your password by clicking on the "My Profile" link in the Member Center. Click here to go to the Equifax Member Center to update your profile.

Where is my online product?

The Equifax Member Center provides you with easy access to your online Equifax products. Access is gained by logging in here, using your current username and password.

Once you order your product, visit the Member Center and click on the product link. You can return to the Member Center as many times as you like and view your products as long as they are available to you.

Does Equifax Consumer Services, Inc. use my Equifax credit file to market its products and services? Does Equifax Consumer Services, Inc. sell my name to direct mail companies?

No. However, our affiliate, Equifax Information Services, LLC which maintains your credit file, does provide information to credit card companies and lenders so that they may offer pre-approved credit to consumers as permitted by the FCRA. If you prefer not to receive such offers, call us toll free at 1-888-5-OPT OUT, or send your request to:

Please include your complete name, full address, Social Security number and signature. Equifax Information Services will remove your name from "pre-approved credit card orders," and share your request with the other two major credit reporting agencies.

Before I provide Equifax with personal information, can I be sure that my information is secure?

The security of your personal information is of the utmost importance to us. Equifax uses firewalls, limited-access servers, and secure socket layers to safeguard it. In addition, Equifax will not share any of your personal information with third parties other than those we disclose to you at the time you elect to use a particular service. I live outside of the United States. Can I still register?

You can register only if the current address in your credit file is within the U.S. and you have a Social Security number.

 

I've been unable to register online. Can I register by phone or fax?

I've tried to register several times, but the verification keeps failing. I know I've entered all the information correctly. What can I do?
