Checking your credit report is one of the best ways of combating Identity Theft. That's why we've teamed up with Equifax, to give you a new FREE alerts service to help protect you against Identity Theft.

Capital One Identity Alert

With Capital One Identity Alert you’ll be alerted if someone applies for credit using your details or if any key changes are made to your Equifax Credit Report™. This provides you with an early warning system to help protect your identity.
What you get with your Capital One Identity Alert service:
What you need so that you can register

In order to protect your identity, Equifax will ask you some carefully selected questions about your finances. It's useful if you have to hand information about your loans, credit cards, mortgages and mobile phone bills, etc. That way you can answer these questions quickly and accurately.

As part of the registration process you'll need to enter your Capital One card information in the Payment Details section. Your card won't be charged as this is a FREE service. Your Capital One card details will be used and retained by Equifax to confirm your address and verify you as a Capital One cardholder. Equifax will also store this information, in case you would like to buy additional reports after you have used your FREE Equifax Credit Reports™.
