In a two-step process, Equifax eIDverifier begins by checking the information supplied by the applicant against a range of databases to fulfill three criteria: Residency, Identity and Alerts. You can create your own decision policy around this information.

Use ‘shared secret’ information to prevent fraud.

In the second step, eIDverifier uses ‘shared secret’ information known only to Equifax and the applicant. The system presents the applicant with a series of multiple-choice questions. Potential fraudsters using a fictitious or stolen identity will be deterred or exposed.
