Chief Marketing Officer
Joseph M. ("Trey") Loughran is the Chief Marketing Officer for Equifax and leads all core Marketing functions including product management and innovation, data and analytics, brand, communications, pricing, and strategic marketing. He was named to the position in March 2015.
Since January 2010, Loughran was President, Equifax Personal Solutions and led the company’s unit that provides credit monitoring and identity management services to consumers across the U.S., the U.K. and Canada. Previously, Loughran served as Senior Vice President, Corporate Development, in which capacity he led the company's global mergers and acquisitions and emerging markets activities, including the company’s business expansion into Russia and India.
Loughran joined Equifax in 2007 after a successful career at BellSouth Corp., where he held a number of leadership positions, including Managing Director of the company's Corporate Strategy and Planning department.
Prior to joining BellSouth, he helped launch Global Food Exchange, an Internet-based software company, and was its Chief Financial Officer and head of Corporate Development. He also served nearly four years as a consultant with McKinsey & Company. Previous to McKinsey, he served as an attorney with King & Spalding in Atlanta, and prior to that was an investment banking analyst with Lazard Frères & Co. in New York.
Loughran holds a bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a Morehead Scholar, and a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard University, where he graduated magna cum laude.
Loughran is active in several civic causes and serves as the Vice Chair of the national board of directors of Be the Match and on the southeastern board of Operation HOPE and is a graduate of Leadership Atlanta.
